POSITION: INSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
To service customer needs through providing estimates and or quotes on fabricated or distribution product. To understand fabricated or distribution products sufficiently to effectively record customer information for pricing purposes. To develop a competitively priced estimate or quote while maintaining gross profit in accordance with company goals. To provide technical assistance to customers and outside sales representatives.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• To know and understand the price books, pricing and gross profit objectives.
• To know, understand and support company’s customer service goals.
• To accurately take orders and information from customers and vendors alike via phone, fax, modem or face to face.
• To properly document sales orders distribution or fabricated product.
• To know the company’s network of vendor sources and how to use them.
• Develop interpersonal relationships with customers and vendors alike to promote sales growth for the company.
• Maintenance of the Oracle customer cross-reference files and inventory master files.
• Reports quality problems to applicable supervisor.
• Responsible to follow departmental procedures and work instructions as written and recommend improvements as necessary.
• Any other task/activity assigned by the supervisor within the scope of the sales system.

SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires some supervision and guidance in pricing and sourcing of product.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires the following skills including but not limited to technical, math, PC literacy, organization and blue print reading.

MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires the ability to think analytically in the review of multiple requirements to create or select the best solution for a task. Also requires the ability to successfully manage multiple tasks or projects collectively.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position has minimal physical requirements.

EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
The minimum requirement is a 2-year degree, 4 preferred with 2 – 4 years of sales or related experience.
