Gore™ Protective Vents enable manufacturers of electronic devices and enclosures to help virtually eliminate condensation, and can help equalize pressure in enclosures that have been compromised with liquids or contaminants because of a faulty seal.

Gore membrane vents are designed to provide a barrier against environmental conditions including liquids, dust, dirt and other contaminants while allowing an enclosure to breathe. Another feature of the membrane vents is their ability to help equalize the pressure within an enclosure or handheld electronics unit especially in changing environmental conditions. A third feature is the ability to vent hydrogen gas from rechargeable batteries, which is ideal in marine applications such as buoys and marine electronics.

Common applications include small hand-held electronics, satellite base stations, cell phones, industrial outdoor lighting enclosures, consumer products, depth finders and enclosures that require environmental sealing or traditional gaskets.

In instances where sensitive speakers need to be protected from moisture or contaminants, Gore vents provide superior protection from water and dust and dirt. Call for details on your specific application.

Gore vents are available in water resistant (hydrophobic) and oil resistant (oleophobic) versions, and are now come in explosion resistant metal vents for robust applications.
