Aflas O-rings & Aflas Gaskets

Aflas® o-rings: acid, petroleum and steam resistance

Aflas O-rings and Aflas gaskets are resistant to a large number of engine coolants and automotive fluids, and typical service temperatures are from 25 (-5) to +400 °F (+204 °C).

The compression set of Aflas O-rings is not as good as many fluorocarbons, but it is resistant to motor oils and engine coolants, power steering fluids, transmission fluids and extreme pressure gear lubricants.

Aflas O-rings and Aflas gaskets perform well in brake fluids (DOT-3), and mineral/silicone oils.

Good for heat transfer media, Aflas O-rings are good for steam and hot water up to 340 °F (170 °C), and are good in acids and bases. Aflas is recommended for vacuums, amines and bases, and offers good wear resistance.

Tetrafluoroetheylene propylene (FEPM, TFE/P) (Aflas) is a copolymer of tetrafluoroethylene (TFE) and propylene. Its chemical resistance is excellent across a wide range of aggressive media. Sealing Devices also offers a full line of Aflas gaskets and custom product forms. Click for more Parker Aflas details.
