Geltek pre-cured silicone sealant strips and grommets

GelTek sealant strips are pre-cured silicone gels, which are die-cuttable solid gels with liquid characteristics. 

  • Easy to compress and "self tacky" allowing gaskets to "wet out" to surfaces.
  • Won't crack or soften due to temperature, time or vibration.
  • "Self-healing," so GelTek is ideal for wire sealing. 
  • Gaskets are easily applied and re-worked.
  • Don't require application equipment to install.

GelTek is an excellent low-pressure gasket that seals surface irregularities, and provides good corrosion protection to prevent moisture from attacking metals.

  • Moisture and electrolytes are displaced by the soft gel, stopping galvanic corrosion of dissimilar metal surfaces.
  • GelTek environmental gaskets are good in field applications with periodic repair, and are stable over the application life.

Sealing Strips:

GT-1000 Sealing strips - Unbacked, both sides tacky. Forms tight environmental seal that prevents corrosion, and allows for easy inspection or repair.

GT-1010 Sealing strips - Teflon-backed. Forms tight environmental seal that prevents corrosion, and allows for easy inspection or repair.

GT-1020 Sealing strips - Rubber-backed. One side tacky. Forms tight environmental seal that prevents corrosion, and allows for easy inspection or repair.

GT-1030 Sealing strips - Foam-backed. One side tacky. Forms tight environmental seal that prevents corrosion, and allows for easy inspection or repair.

GT-1600 Sealing strips - Flame-resistant. Unbacked. Both sides tacky. Forms tight environmental seal that prevents corrosion, and allows for easy inspection or repair.

 

Grommets:

GT-4201 Multiway low force connector grommet that prevents corrosion and allows for easy inspection and repair.

Geltek Rope Gaskets:

  • Provides shielding against high levels of EMI.
  • Environmental and pressure sealing against water ingress and electrical grounding in a variety of electronics and communications applications. Extensive salt fog tests have shown Geltek silicone gel materials provide an effective barrier against galvanic corrosion.
  • Gel surrounds the conductive wire mesh of the gaskets, and isolates the metal substrate to gasket protect contact points from corrosive elements.
  • The unique wire mesh/silicone gel construction also ensures that the electrical resistance of the wire mesh will not increase significantly due to corrosion, and the surface wetting action of the GelTek minimizes intermetallic corrosion between gasket and substrate, and ensures dependable EMI shielding and environmental sealing.
