Sealing Devices Inc. Proposition 65

What is Prop 65?

In 1986, California voters approved a ballot initiative titled the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act, also known as Proposition 65. Prop 65 requires the State to publish a list of chemicals believed to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. Proposition 65 requires businesses to notify people in California about exposures to these listed chemicals under certain circumstances.

What is Sealing Devices Inc. position on Prop 65?

Some parts supplied by Sealing Devices may contain substances that California considers carcinogenic or toxic to the reproductive system. Suppliers may comply with Prop 65 either by providing a clear and reasonable warning concerning an exposure to a listed chemical or they may perform a risk assessment.

Is Sealing Devices Prop 65 compliant?

Sealing Devices fully complies with Proposition 65, where it applies, and has chosen to label all products with the required Prop 65 language because the necessary testing to certify that exposure levels are beneath the Prop 65 standards on all products would be prohibitively costly, difficult and time-consuming.
